Dream-Car Raffle

Would you pay $25 for a Mercedes C300?  How about a BMW 128i convertible?  Audi A4?  Honda Odyssey?  Or perhaps $25,000 cash money?  These are the options for the grand prize winner of the “Catch a Ride with Cambridge” Dream-Car Raffle.  Tickets are $25 each, or $100 for 5.  In addition to the grand prize, there are 4 other cash prizes, so with a limit of 3000 tickets sold, chances of winning a prize are 1:600 for each ticket.  The drawing for the grand prize (and not-so-grand prizes) will be held on Apr 4, 2009, at the Cambridge Gala Auction.

Fans of this site would be interested to know that The Cambridge School, a Christian school in the classical tradition, has OHS Michael Horton as a board member and parent (as well as WSCAL’s Julius Kim).  So I can personally guarantee that if you buy any raffle tickets, Michael Horton will, um, appreciate it.

Tickets can be purchased by fax or mail, using this entry form.  You do not have to travel to San Diego and attend the drawing to win, so come one and all!

Well, I’m sort of a fan of this site. But I do find the Horton connection interesting for various reasons. In keeping with the theme of a seeming inconsistency between theory and practice, if I win, may I sign over my winnings to a public school educator? That’s a joke, folks.

Sounds good to me — the important thing is to enter. You do want to make Horton happy, don’t you?

    Rube,

Well, I have a more Protestant notion of patron saints than Catholic. I like questioning mine more than appeasing them.

So funny. Horton on the board of a CS and a parent of a student at the same school. Zrim is about to un-saint him.

    Worlds are colliding!

Did anyone catch Os on WHI yesterday?

  5. Zrim says:

    No colliding, just friendly fire.
